Welcome to Troop NC-0834

Troop NC-0834 was chartered September 2014 by First Baptist Church of Rocky Mount. First Baptist sponsors TLUSA Troop NC-0834 and AHG Troop NC-0834 to provide a Christ-centered environment for families to mentor the next generation of Christian Leaders with a working knowledge of a Biblical worldview in order to spread the Gospel of our Savior Lord, Jesus Christ. We chartered Trail Life USA for boys as well as American Heritage Girls. In Troop NC-0834, whole families may be involved.

Our troops represent about 20 different churches from the Rocky Mount area including Nashville, Red Oak, Tarboro, Williamston, Elm City, and Wilson.

We welcome parents to attend our weekly meetings and monthly outings along with their children.  We are not a drop off program and as such offer quality programming along with a high level of parental involvement. Both the boys’ and girls’ troops meet at the same time, Tuesday evenings from 6:30 to 7:45 pm on the 3rd level of the Family Ministry Center at First Baptist Church of Rocky Mount, 200 S. Church Street, Rocky Mount, NC  27804.

I believe that God has called me to serve in these organizations as a way to help lead young women and men to Christ and to teach them how to become Godly leaders among their families and friends, and in their schools and communities.”

–Duane T., Troop Ministry Liaison

We start the evening with prayer and a brief flag ceremony then break into male and female age appropriate units where students work on awards and advancements.  Our troop number, NC-0834, was selected after Psalm 8:3-4.

Psalm 8:3-4:   When I look at your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place, what is man that you are mindful of him, and the son of man that you care for him?

May the power of the Father, the wisdom of the Son, and the love of the Holy Spirit, guide us to walk worthy and live with integrity until we meet again.
